NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Four Atlantic 10 Men’s Soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2013 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List announced the Missouri Athletic Club on Tuesday.

La Salle goalkeeper John McCarthy and VCU midfielder Romena Bowie joined Saint Louis defender Anthony Manning and SLU junior forward Robert Kristo who was named a semifinalist in 2012.

The MAC Hermann Trophy is the highest individual award in college soccer presented annually to one male and one female athlete. The winners will be announced Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at the trophy presentation banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.

The 2013 Watch Lists were announced earlier today on the “NSCAA Weekly College Highlights and Review Show” on NSCAATV.com, with last season’s highlights and interviews with previous winners.

The Missouri Athletic Club has been presenting college soccer’s players of the year awards since 1986. The MAC was established in 1903 as an athletic, dining and social club. It has a “Platinum Club of America” status, which is awarded to the top private clubs in the country. To learn more about the Missouri Athletic Club, go to www.mac-stl.org.
