NEWPORT NEWS, Va.—The Atlantic 10 announced Wednesday that it has named nine women’s rowers to the All-Academic team for 2014. The team was selected by a vote of the league’s rowing media relations directors.
The list includes five rowers that were selected for All-Conference this season, following the 2014 Rowing Championship. The All-Academic award honors student-athletes for their combined prowess in both the classroom and in the boat.
Fordham, UMass (the 2014 A-10 rowing champions) and Rhode Island each had two student-athletes honored. Dayton, Duquesne and George Washington also were represented on the team.
