Over 200 TV Games Highlight 2014-15 Men's Basketball Schedule

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A total of 205 Atlantic 10 men’s basketball games will be distributed live this season through conference’s national, regional and local television packages and road television outlets, the league announced on Tuesday. An additional 78 games will receive digital distribution via the A-10 Network, Campus Insiders or ESPN3, bringing the total number of live A-10 games to 283.

Eighty-one games will be distributed as part of the A-10’s national package, plus an additional 67 home games will air through regional and local outlets. The A-10 Network will produce 14 telecasts to be distributed via SportsNet New York (SNY) and select television affiliates. All remaining home A-10 games will be distributed via the A-10 Network on the Atlantic10.com website with select games also available on the A-10’s mobile apps. Atlantic 10 teams will also appear in 43 road TV matchups and 15 games that will be available exclusively through Campus Insiders or ESPN3.

“We have built a robust network of television and digital distribution partnerships that provides our fans with unprecedented access to watch A-10 basketball anywhere in the world,” stated Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade. “Through our national partnerships, the regional distribution and our ever-expanding digital offerings, we continue to increase the Atlantic 10’s level of national and international exposure.”

Over half of the televised games (115 of 205) will appear on a nationally-distributed outlet, including one of the A-10’s national television partners, ESPN, CBS Sports Network, NBCSN and American Sports Network. In addition, every game of the 2015 Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, will air live on television, including 11 national broadcasts.

The Armed Forces Network will also distribute a select number of Atlantic 10 games to U.S. military bases abroad and ships-at-sea.

The A-10 is coming off the most successful year in league history in which a record six men’s basketball teams earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Dayton advanced to the Elite Eight, marking the seventh straight year an Atlantic10 team has advanced to the Sweet 16 or beyond. The league finished sixth in the RPI last season with nine teams in the RPI Top 100. Six A-10 teams had over 24 wins, the most of any conference, and the 13 members won 71 percent of their non-conference games in 2014-15. 

The season begins Friday, Nov. 14 when nine Atlantic 10 men’s basketball teams are in action, starting with preseason No. 16 VCU against Tennessee at the Veterans Classic at 6:30 pm on CBS Sports Network. The other five A-10 teams tip off their season on Saturday, Nov. 15.
