NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – George Washington senior Max Holdsworth was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while his freshman teammate Justin Grady was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week. Davidson freshman Justin Stone and Duquesne freshman Nate Dragisich were selected as the league’s Co-Rookies of the Week.  The awards were for games played Sept. 9-15.

Holdsworth piled up seven points in two victories last week, contributing to all five GW goals. On Tuesday, the midfielder from London, England, converted a penalty kick and also set up a pair of goals in a 3-0 win at Liberty. He buried a fourth-minute penalty kick on Saturday versus Brown and later helped set up Sandro Weber's score in a 2-0 victory.

Grady notched a pair of shutouts last week, tallying eight total saves, to help GW go 2-0. The keeper from Wyncote, Pa., made five saves in Tuesday's 3-0 win at Liberty and then stopped three shots in Saturday's 2-0 home victory over Brown to lower his season goals against average to 0.96.

Stone scored both Davidson's goals in a 3-2 setback at Furman Saturday evening. The forward from Cary, N.C., leads the 'Cats with three goals in just four games this season.

Dragisich registered a goal and assist in helping the Dukes to a pair of 2-1 wins over Niagara and Cal Baptist. He scored the game-winner in the 89th minute to give DU the win over Niagara and then assisted on Zach Hall's goal in the third minute of the win over Cal Baptist.
