NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Three student-athletes representing the Atlantic 10 Conference were named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America Men's & Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Capital One and CoSIDA recognize the nation's top student-athletes annually for their combined performance on the floor and in the classroom in a variety of sports.

Charlotte's Jason Roberts and Dayton's Emily Zimmerman were named to the second team, while the 49ers' Macey Ruble earned third team honors rounding out the list of Academic All-Americans for men's and women's cross country/track and field during the 2011-12 season. This marks the second consecutive year in which Zimmerman has been selected as an Academic All-American by CoSIDA, after being listed on the third team in 2011.
