NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Seven student-athletes representing the Atlantic 10 Conference were named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America Men's & Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Capital One and CoSIDA recognize the nation's top student-athletes annually for their combined performance on the floor and in the classroom in a variety of sports.

Charlotte's Darius Law and Dayton's Chris Lemon and Ashley Cattran were named to the first team, while the Flyers' Matthew Lemon, Duquesne's Alex Federinko and Massachusetts' Kevin Johnson earned second team honors. Dayton's Emily Zimmerman grabbed a spot on the third team rounding out the list of Academic All-Americans for men's and women's cross country/track and field during the 2010-11 season.
