NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Richmond’s Rebecca Barry and Saint Francis’ Selena Adamshick have been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Field Hockey Co- Players of the Week, while Spider freshman Emma Johansson was tabbed as the A-10 Rookie of the Week for games played Sept. 15 - Sept. 22.

Adamshick dominated against Pacific on Saturday, scoring all five goals for Saint Francis in the convincing victory. The sophomore midfielder from Harvey’s Lake, Pa., scored three of her five goals in the first five minutes of the match. The performance matched teammate and former A-10 Player of the Week Autumn Pellman’s performance of two weeks ago with five goals in a contest. On Sunday, SFU lost in a tight match-up with UMass-Lowell, Adamshick posted another goal, giving her six on the week, as well as an assist in the match.

Barry had two game-winning goals, helping the Spiders to a 2-0 week and a four game win streak overall. The Limerick, Ireland, native had three goals and one assist for a seven point week.  Barry recorded a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Hofstra Friday, before tallying the first two goals in the 3-1 victory over Columbia Sunday afternoon.

Johansson had three points on the week as she helped the Spiders extend their win streak to four games.  The Gibbsboro, N.J., native scored a goal and added an assist in what proved to a 4-0 Richmond win over Hofstra on Friday.
