SAINT LOUIS 74, BOWLING GREEN 47
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Dwayne Evans scored 14 points to pace crisp-shooting Saint Louis to its fourth-straight win and second victory in the Cancun Challenge tournament, running away from Bowling Green 74-47 Saturday night.

The Billikens (4-0) now head to Mexico, where they face Wisconsin Tuesday at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera in Cancun.

Neither team scored in the first three minutes of the contest and Saint Louis led by just three with 4:12 remaining in the half, but a pair of Austin McBroom 3-pointers sparked a closing run that saw the Billikens with a 10-point advantage, 29-19 at intermission.

Tanner Lacona scored a dozen points off the Saint Louis bench and Mike McCall added another 11.

Spencer Parker led Bowling Green (1-3) with 13 points. The Falcons open Tuesday's play in Cancun when they face Presbyterian.

RHODE ISLAND 79, UMASS-LOWELL 68
KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) - E.C. Matthews scored 15 points with five rebounds and three assists as Rhode Island defeated Massachusetts Lowell 79-68 on Saturday.

Xavier Munford had a team-high 16 points shooting 8 of 12 from the line. He also had six rebounds and six assists. T. J. Buchanan came in from the bench to score 11 points with four rebounds.

Both teams started cold but a dunk by Munford and a trio of 3-pointers by Matthews midway through the first period moved the Rams (4-2) ahead to lead by eight points at the break. They would open their lead to as much as 15 points in the second period, shooting 53 percent from the field and sinking 61.3 percent from the line.

Chad Holley led the River Hawks with a game-high 23 points. Kerry Weldon chipped in with 9 points and 8 rebounds.

NORTH CAROLINA 82, RICHMOND 72
UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Marcus Paige scored 26 points and Brice Johnson added 24 to help No. 24 North Carolina bounced back from its first loss of the season with an 82-72 win over Richmond in the Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament.

The Tar Heels (3-1) trailed for much of the first half, before making a run that sent them into halftime with a three-point lead.

They were up 66-62 with just under 4 minutes to play when Richmond's Terry Allen picked up his fourth foul. Johnson hit a put-back that started the run that gave the Tar Heels control of the game. A Paige 3-pointer made it 71-62 and North Carolina held on down the stretch.

Cedrick Lindsay scored 29 points for Richmond. Kendall Anthony added 13.

North Carolina will play the winner of Saturday's second semifinal between No. 3 Louisville and Fairfield in Sunday's final.

IONA 89, GEORGE MASON 73
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) - Sean Armand scored a season-high 30 points and five players scored in double figures as Iona jumped out early to upend previously undefeated George Mason 89-73.

The Gaels (2-2) scored the first 14 points and led by as many as 29 in the first half. A.J. English hit 18 points, David Laury 14, Tre Bowman 11 and Mike Poole 10 for Iona, which shot 50 percent from the field.

George Mason's (4-1) Sherrod Wright and Marko Gujanicic, were held to 12 points each. Wright was 3-10 from the field and Gujanicic had four turnovers.

The Gaels scored seven of their first 14 points after defensive rebounds or steals. The Patriots missed their first five shots, turned the ball over four times and took more than four minutes to get onto the scoreboard. It was Iona's first win against George Mason in three meetings.

SACRED HEART 85, FORDHAM 73
NEW YORK CITY (AP) - Louis Montes and Tevin Falzon scored 16 points each as Sacred Heart won for the first time this season, defeating cold-shooting Fordham 85-73 on Saturday.

Montes added a season-high 13 rebounds and Falzon 10 as each recorded a double-double. Phil Gaetano added 14 points and Evan Kelley 12 as the Pioneers (1-4) shot 47 percent from the field, forced 18 turnovers and out-rebounded the Rams 49-35.

Fordham (2-2) had the lead early and led by as many as seven points several times in the first half, but hit only 27 of 74 shots.

Jon Severe scored 23 for Fordham and Branden Frazier added 21. The two kept Fordham close during a long stretch of the second half that saw six lead changes and five ties.

Montes hit a pair of free throws and fed Falzon for a jumper as the Pioneers went ahead for good 73-68 at 3:29.
