NOTABLE

The Atlantic 10 is one of only four conferences with five or more teams that have reached 12 wins. Only the Big 10 and Pac-12  (six teams each) have more while the Big 12 matches the A-10 with five 12-win teams. The A-10 is also one of only five leagues where every team’s record is at .500 or better.

The A-10 has six teams on multiple-game winning streaks, including eight straight by Saint Louis. Duquesne has won five in a row and St. Bonaventure and VCU have won four straight. In addition, 10 of the 13 teams entered Conference play having won their last matchup.

UMass remains ranked in both polls this week and George Washington is receiving votes in both polls Saint Louis is also receiving votes in the Coaches’ Poll. VCU and Dayton have also been ranked this season and La Salle also garnered votes earlier in the season. In the latest Bracketologies, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has five A-10 teams in the Big Dance (UMass, Saint Louis, VCU) while Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com has four teams  (UMass, Dayton, George Washington, VCU) with SLU listed among his first four out.

The Atlantic 10 completed the bulk of its non-conference schedule over the weekend, registering a 70.4 winning percentage in the non-league games. A-10 teams have registered four wins over ranked teams and 16 wins against the big five conferences (ACC, Big 10, Big 12, SEC, Pac-12).

The A-10 has seven of its 13 teams in the top 100 of the RPI ratings, including UMass at No. 4 and five RPI top 50 teams. The league also ranks seventh among all conferences in the RPI. The A-10 also has nine teams in the top 100 of the both the Pomeroy ratings and Sagarin Ratings.
