NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Duquesne senior forward Wumi Agunbiade has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, while VCU freshman guard Keira Robinson was named Rookie of the Week for games played between Jan. 6 – Jan. 12.

Agunbiade garners her second Player of the Week honor of the season and it’s the fifth time she has been honored during her career.  The Pickering, Ontario native led the Dukes to a pair of conference wins this week, including a 65-61 victory at Fordham, which snapped the Rams’ 12 game winning streak.  Against Fordham, Agunbiade scored a season-high 26 points on 10-of-11 shooting from the floor and tied a career-high with five assists, while grabbing nine rebounds at Saint Louis on Saturday.

This marks the third time this season Robinson has been named Rookie of the Week. She averaged 14.5 points, 8.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals last week for VCU.  The Columbia, S.C. native led all scorers with a game-high 21 points and 10 assists in a key home win over Saint Joseph's for her first career double-double.  Robinson also went a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line to go along with five rebounds and two steals against the Hawks.  She began the week with eight points and seven assists at La Salle.

A-10 Honor Roll
Dayton’s Ally Malott averaged a double-double in UD’s two Atlantic 10 victories this week. She scored a team-high 19 points and had a game-high 12 rebounds against George Mason and then notched another double-double with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds against St. Bonaventure. Her teammate Celeste Edwards scored a career-high 14 points in Dayton’s A-10 home opening 73-59 win against St. Bonaventure …  Fordham’s Erin Rooney displayed her versatility, leading the Rams with 14 points on 6-10 shooting and a career-high 11 assists in a win over Richmond … George Washington’s Danni Jackson posted her first career double-double in GW’s 84-61 victory over Saint Louis, scoring a team-high 16 points and tying a program single-game record with 14 assists. GW freshman Caira Washington finished just a rebound shy of her fourth straight double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds in GW’s win over SLU …  La Salle’s Alicia Cropper averaged team-best 15.0 ppg on the week to lead La Salle to a 2-0 week.  Scored a career-best 23 points in Explorers’ upset over VCU on Wednesday. Her teammate Micahya Owens tallied a career-high 23 points in a win over UMass … Kallie Banker of Rhode Island scored a career-high 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting off the bench to lead Rhode Island to its first conference win of the season Saturday against George Mason … St. Bonaventure’s Katie Healy posted back-to-back double-doubles and was the high-scorer in both games, as she registered 21 points in the win over Richmond and 16 points against Dayton …. Wednesday against Rhode Island, Ciara Andrews paced Saint Joseph’s in a 72-35 victory, scoring a game-high 13 points. She followed that with 13 points, three rebounds and a steal Sunday at VCU.
