Richmond coach Chris Mooney picked up his 200th career 200th victory with an overtime win at Fordham. He is the sixth current A-10 coach to have 200+ wins. This counts 24 wins at DIII Beaver College (now Arcadia).
Saint Louis coach Jim Crews is four wins away from his 400th career win. Once he crosses that mark he will be the third A-10 coach with 400+ career wins.
Two Atlantic 10 coaches are rapidly approaching 100 wins at their current institutions. UMass’ Derek Kellogg has 99 wins at this alma mater, just two wins from 100. Mark Schmidt, with 99 victories, is just one wins from reaching 100 as Bona’s bench boss.
The Atlantic 10 is one of only five conferences with four or more teams that have reached 13 wins. Only the Big 10 (six teams) has more. The Big 12, the American, and the Pac-12 match the A-10 with four 13-win teams.
The A-10 has four teams on multiple-game winning streaks, including nine straight by Saint Louis. Duquesne and VCU have won five in a row and Massachusetts has won four straight.
