A-10 News and Notes
With a victory Saturday over Fordham, Duquesne’s Class of 2014 is now the second winningest senior class in program history with 85 wins, three short of last year’s class who had 88 victories. Coming into tonight’s game, Wumi Agunbiade was tied with tied with 2014 A-10 Legend honoree Candace Futrell (‘04) with 1,668 career points - with her 22 point effort tonight, she now has 1,690 career points and sits alone in 2nd place all-time.
St. Bonaventure’s win victory Saturday over George Mason marked just the second time in program history the Bonnies have won 10 or more conference games. The other time was the 2011-12 season in which the team finished with a perfect 14-0 A-10 record in the regular season.
With a win over SLU, VCU has won 10 more games than last season, when it finished 11-19. With 12 points Saturday, Parks moved into fifth place on VCU’s single-season scoring list with 604. She also moved into sole possession of eighth on the Rams’ career rebounds list.VCU improved to 11-2 at home this season, its most victories at the Siegel Center since 2008-09.
