SLU's Hendrickson Named Honorable Mention for Coach of the Year

ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis head baseball coach Darin Hendrickson was named an Honorable Mention for National Coach of the Year by CollegeBaseballInsider.com the website announced today.

Hendrickson led the Billikens to their second-consecutive 41-win season in 2013. The team won its second Atlantic 10 regular season title and its third A-10 tournament title (second under Hendrickson). It was the first time since 1966 that the Billikens won both the regular season and tournament titles in the same season. Saint Louis was named the four seed in the NCAA Baseball Columbia Regional.

In his six seasons at SLU, Hendrickson has compiled a 198-148 record, giving him the second-most wins for a Billiken head coach. He is also the only coach in SLU history to compile back-to-back 30-win seasons, a feat he accomplished twice (2009-10 and 2012-13).
