NEWPORT NEWS, Va.—The Atlantic 10 Conference will air nearly 200 men’s basketball games on television this season and combined with online exposure on the A-10 Digital Network, the league will offer comprehensive November to March coverage of the 2013-14 men’s basketball season that includes media distribution for all 291 games this year.

The A-10, as part of its digital initiatives, will also offer select live games on mobile devices (iPhone, iPad and Android devices). The Atlantic 10 app is a free download and offers live content including select live basketball games from across the league. Select content on the Digital Network is free while the remainder is subscription based.

The 195 televised games include previously announced 71 games on ESPN, CBS Sports Network and NBCSN. This includes both conference and non-conference games, giving the A-10 an all-encompassing national television package. It also includes 42 games on SNY that will also be cleared in the home markets of the participating institutions for a total conference package of 113 games.

The league will air 85 of the 104 conference games, a record 81.7 percent of the total number of conference games. The 195 televised games represent 67 percent of the 291 total games that the A-10 member institutions will participate in.

Included in those numbers are seven games of the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship, played at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, that will air on national television. The four quarterfinal games will be on NBCSN, the two semifinals on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports will carry the championship games as part of CBS’ Selection Sunday coverage.

The 2013-14 season tips off Friday with seven games. The Atlantic 10 is coming off a historic season in which nine teams earned postseason bids, every NCAA team advanced to the Third Round and La Salle made a run to the Sweet 16, the sixth straight year the A-10 has advanced to the Regional Semifinals.
