NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Nine Atlantic 10 Men’s Soccer Teams have earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year.

Dayton, Duquesne, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts and Saint Louis all earned a team GPA of 3.0 or higher to earn the distinction.

A total of 863 soccer teams (270 men, 593 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year.

Former A-10 members Butler, Temple and Xavier also earned the team academic award, playing in the Atlantic 10 in the 2012-13 academic year.

Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Kan., the National Soccer Coaches Association of America has grown into the world’s largest soccer coaches’ organization that serves members at every level of the game.
