NOTABLE

The Atlantic 10 is the only Division I conference with four teams that have reached 17 or more wins. The American and the ACC are the next closest with three 17-win teams.

The A-10 has four teams on multiple-game winning streaks, including 13 straight by Saint Louis. GW has won five in a row and VCU has won four straight. Duquesne has won back-to-back games also.

UMass checked in at No. 21 in the AP Poll and No. 19 in the Coaches’ Poll and Saint Louis occupies the reverse, 19 in the AP Poll and 21 in the Coaches’ Top 25. George Washington is also receiving votes in both polls. Dayton, La Salle and VCU have also received votes this year. In the latest Bracketologies, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com each have four A-10 teams in the Big Dance (UMass, Saint Louis, VCU, George Washington). Palm has Richmond as one of his first four out.

The Atlantic 10 completed its non-conference schedule by winning 71 percent of those non-league games. A-10 teams also have registered six wins over ranked teams and 16 wins against the big five conferences (ACC, Big 10, Big 12, SEC, Pac-12).

The A-10 has nine of its 13 teams in the top 100 of the RPI ratings, five teams in the RPI top 50 and seven teams in the top 68 (NCAA Tournament field size). The league also ranks sixth among all conferences in the RPI and has nine teams in the top 100 of the Pomeroy ratings and eight in the Sagarin Ratings top 100.
