>George Washington graduate student Danni Jackson was one of 50 women’s basketball players across the nation selected to participate in the 12th annual WBCA “So You Want To Be A Coach” program, the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced last week. The three-day “So You Want To Be A Coach” workshop will take place from April 4-6 in conjunction with the WBCA National Convention in Nashville, Tenn.

>The A-10 has five teams ranked in the top 78 of the RPI.  Saint Joseph’s (10), Dayton (19),  Fordham (56), St. Bonaventure (58) and Duquesne (78). The A-10 ranks No. 9 among conferences.

>St. Bonaventure rolled to its sixth and seventh consecutive victories last week, led in large part by Sophomore Hannah Little who earned the start for the Brown and White in both contests and registered back-to-back double-doubles.

>VCU senior Robyn Parks notched her fourth career 30-point game at Dayton (she had exactly 30). Parks ranks second in school history in career 30-point performances. Only Courtney Hurt (nine) has more. Parks also became the eighth player in school history to record 1,400 career points when she scored 19 Saturday against Richmond

>With their win at George Mason, the Billikens became the first team in Saint Louis women’s basketball history to win three consecutive conference road games.

>Dayton went 2-0 last week with a 73-69 home win over VCU on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 and an 87-77 road win over Duquesne on Saturday, Feb. 8. In the win over VCU junior Andrea Hoover reached the 1,000-point milestone; she became the 21st Flyer women’s basketball player to do so. The win also extended UD’s home win streak to 23 which is the third longest in the nation.
