NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Three former A-10 men's soccer standouts travel to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Rhode Island's Geoff Cameron and Brad Davis of Saint Louis will be representing the United States, while Vedad Ibisevic, also from Saint Louis, will play for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The United States is in Group G with Germany, Portugal and Ghana. USA’s first game will be Monday, June 16, at 6 p.m. against Ghana on ESPN.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is in Group F with Argentina, Iran and Nigeria. They play again Saturday, June 21, at 6 p.m. versus Nigeria. Ibisevic scored his country’s first goal ever in the World Cup in a 2-1 loss to Argentina on Sunday.
