MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Recent Saint Joseph’s graduatewas named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-America Third Team on Wednesday afternoon. His selection comes on the heels of being named to the All-East Region First Team last week.

On a national level, Forgey was named a Capital One/CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-American this season for his work both on the field and in the classroom. He earned Atlantic 10 and Philadelphia Big 5 Baseball Player of the Year honors and was selected for the Atlantic 10 and Big 5 All-Academic teams as well. Forgey was also voted the Big 5 Baseball Student-Athlete of the Year and the Academic All-Area Performer of the Year.
The Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Teamer, ECAC First Team All-Star, and All-Big 5 honoree became just the fourth student-athlete to earn Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and All-Academic honors in the same season, and is the first Hawk to ever earn the conference’s top individual honor.
