Atlantic 10, Come Ready Nutrition Announce Partnership
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference and Come Ready Nutrition have formed a wide-ranging partnership, the two organizations announced. The agreement makes Come Ready Nutrition the Official Sports Nutrition Brand of the Atlantic 10.
Pittsburgh-based Come Ready Nutrition will provide NCAA-compliant nutritional bars to the athletic departments at all 14 A-10 member institutions and consultative services in the areas of nutrition, health and wellness. In addition, the partnership includes providing nutritional bars for student-athletes at conference championship events and funding toward the Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete Postgraduate Scholarship Program. The company’s products are used by more than 100 colleges and universities including previous NCAA national championship teams.
“This agreement is the first of its kind at the conference level, which is particularly relevant given the increased emphasis on performance nutrition and the lifting of certain NCAA restrictions in regard to ‘fueling’ our student-athletes,” stated A-10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade. “We are very pleased to enter into this partnership with Come Ready Nutrition for the betterment of our student-athletes’ health and wellness.”
“We’re excited to bring a conference with such an outstanding reputation as the Atlantic 10 on board as a partner,” says Come Ready Founder and President Pat Cavanaugh. “This innovative conference partnership gives us the opportunity to reinforce sport nutrition’s growing emphasis by delivering cutting edge sports nutrition products and education to its schools and nearly 4,000 student-athletes.”
As part of the partnership, Come Ready Nutrition will receive digital advertising inventory on Atlantic10.com, the conference’s mobile app and the A-10 Network. The agreement also includes additional media assets associated with selected Atlantic 10 championships, including the 2017 Men’s Basketball Championship at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. Come Ready Nutrition will also have a regular presence on the league’s social media platforms and sponsorship of the selected A-10 Player of the Week awards. In addition, Come Ready Nutrition will support the A-10’s community and educational outreach programs at the men’s and women’s basketball championships at CONSOL Energy Center and Richmond Coliseum, respectively.
The Atlantic 10 Conference sponsors championship opportunities in 21 sports, serving 224 A-10 teams and nearly 4,000 student-athletes.
