NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – George Mason’s Ayo Raymond and Rhode Island’s Casey Burley were named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Co-Performers of the Week while Dayton’s Jenni Rossi was named the Women’s Performer of the Week. Also honored was Saint Louis’ Ethan Erusha who was awarded Men’s Rookie of the Week and George Mason’s Taylor Williams who was named Women’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were based off performances held from April 10-16.

Raymond, a senior from Bowie, Md., posted a season-best time of 10.53 in the 100-meter dash, taking eighth at the Gamecock Invitational at South Carolina on Saturday. His time currently sits atop the A-10 and is ranked in the top 50 in the NCAA East Region. Raymond also helped the 4x100-meter relay team finish fourth with a time of 40.06.

Burley had a career day at UConn’s Northeast Challenge. He tied for first in the long jump with a personal record of 7.48-meters. This mark is tied for 24th in the region and he improved to number two all-time in URI history. He also leads the conference by more than 40 centimeters. The junior from Warwick Valley, N.Y., followed that performance up with a personal record in the triple jump with a mark of 15.18-meters, which sits atop the A-10 and is fourth all-time in Rams history.

Rossi broke the University of Dayton’s all-time record for shot put with a mark of 15.03-meters at the 2017 All-Ohio Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Cincinnati last weekend. The Middletown, Ohio, native overtook Jodi Borges’ record that has stood since 2000. The junior's mark is the best in the A-10 this season and sits at 78th nationally.

Erusha, a freshman from St. Louis, Mo., placed third in the high jump at the Tom Botts Invitational at Missouri with a personal record of 1.98-meters. This jump is tied for the second-best in the A-10 this season.

Willams posted some of the fastest times in the Atlantic 10 this season on Saturday at the Gamecock Invitational at South Carolina. The redshirt freshman ran a personal-best time of 12.14 in the 100-meter dash to take 24th and ran the 200-meter dash in 24.94, finishing 25th. Both of these times rank in the top ten in the conference. The Columbia, Md., native also helped the 4x100-meter relay team take third with a time of 46.14, which is the fastest in the A-10 this season.
