Rowing Wraps Up NCAA Championships in D Finals

The University of Massachusetts rowing program concluded its participation in the 2017 NCAA Championships with entries in the Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ D Final races. Overall, the Minutewomen finished in 21st overall in its fourth-ever appearance and third in the last four seasons. The Varsity 8+ took 20th while the Second Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ each totaled 21st.
The Varsity 4+ opened the morning with a third-place spot as the Abigail Raichek (cox), Hallie Dunlap, Lauren Jubb, Hannah McCollough and Rebecca Mills raced against Central Florida, Jacksonville and Navy and reached the line in 8:00.247.
The Second Varsity 8+ added a third-place finish in the D Final with a time of 7:14.629. Kelsey Anderson (cox), Abby Norwood, Hadley Irvin, Hannah White, Meghan Ouellette, Charlotte Bleiler, Kelley Glennon, Caroline Gosnear and Sabrina Seeley concluded the spring campaign against Gonzaga, Jacksonville and Navy.
The Varsity 8+ was the last UMass boat on the water at Mercer Lake. Haley Eovine (cox), Krysten Menks, Zoe Hill, Grace Bundy, Daniella du Toit, Abigail Diazcadena, Pippa Edwards, Natalie Boisvert and Sam Wonderlin took second in competition with Gonzaga, Navy and Jacksonville in the D Final (6:49.054).
The final day of the NCAA Championships concluded the 2017 spring campaign for the Minutewomen, which also featured the team's 16th all-time Atlantic 10 team title.
