NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Francis junior Brianna Govia and Saint Joseph’s sophomore Victoria Kammerinke shared the Atlantic 10 Conference Field Hockey Co-Player of the Week award, while Saint Joseph’s freshman Quinn Maguire was picked as the league’s Rookie of the Week. Both awards are for games played from Sept. 25 - Oct. 1.

Govia, a forward/midfielder from St. James, Trinidad, scored the game-tying goal against Davidson in the 59th minute, eventually sending the game in to overtime. In the extra period, Brianna stole the ball and delivered a beautiful pass, setting up teammate Hannah Retherford, whose goal gave the Red Flash a 2-1 A-10 victory.

Goalkeeper Kammerinke made a career-high 15 saves on Friday as the 21st-ranked Hawks beat VCU, 4-0. The 15 saves are second-most in a game by an A-10 keeper this season, and tied for 12th-most in a game in all of Division I. A Kaarst, Germany, product, Kammerinke then made four saves and conceded only a penalty stroke goal in the Hawks' defeat at Richmond Sunday. She made 19 saves and allowed zero goals in the run of play over the course of two games this weekend.

Maguire, a forward from Media, Pa., assisted on the opening goal and then scored two of her own to lead the #21 Hawks past VCU, 4-0, Friday afternoon. Her five-point weekend puts her third in the conference in points and second in goals.
