Fordham and VCU square off against each other Saturday in a highly anticipated matchup of two preseason favorites in the Atlantic 10. The game is set to begin at 7:00 pm.

Fordham (7-2-2 overall, 1-0-1 Atlantic 10) has won six of its last seven games, with a 1-1 tie against George Mason the only blemish in that streak. The Rams picked up their first conference win of the season with a 1-0 victory over La Salle earlier in the week, and will try to stay perfect in home matches, where they are 4-0 this season. On the offensive end, Fordham is led by the Loebe brothers, Janos and Jannik, who have combined for nine goals apiece, six assists, and 24 points. Janos leads the Rams with five goals and 15 points.

VCU (4-3 overall, 1-0 Atlantic 10) enters Saturday night’s contest riding a three-game winning streak and have won four out of their last five matchups. The Rams have played ranked opponents tough this year, tying No. 14 Georgetown 1-1, and upsetting No. 15 UNC Wilmington, 1-0. Freshman goalkeeper Mario Sequeira was outstanding in the win over the Seahawks, stopping seven shots in the contest. The shutout was Sequeira’s second shutout this year. His performance against the Seahawks helped him win Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week honors. Luc Fatton leads the Rams in goals this year with five.

Other conference matchups on Saturday include Massachusetts hosting Duquesne, Dayton visiting George Washington, Davidson traveling to St. Bonaventure, Rhode Island at La Salle, and George Mason at Saint Joseph’s. Check the scoreboard for Saturday's scores.
