The 42nd season of Atlantic 10 men's basketball opened with a bang Friday. Davidson hit a record number of threes, Dayton won on a buzzer beater, GW had a dunk-fest on an exciting night of hoops.

Davidson hit 26 3-pointers Friday night, setting the school and A-10 single-game records (previous A-10 mark was 20). It was also two shy of the NCAA record. Kellan Grady swished seven threes and Oskar Michelsen hit six. Four of the five starters hit at least four 3-pointers. GW got aerial theatrics from Bo Ziegler, who twice converted alley-oops straight from a baseline inbounds pass. Zeigler finished with 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting, including six dunks and was featured on Spotscenter's "Dunks of the Night" segment. Josh Cunningham's post-up with 0.1 seconds left gave Dayton men's basketball team a 78-77 win over the Ball State.
