KINGSTON, R.I. - For the fourth straight week, Rhode Island is ranked in both national polls, coming in No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 16 in the Associated Press poll. It is the highest in-season ranking in either poll in program history for the Rams, who have won 15 straight games. The streak is the second longest active one in the country, behind only Eastern Tennessee State's 16-game streak.

Additionally, St. Bonaventure is receiving poll votes for the second time this season. Earlier this season, the Bonnies picked up poll votes in weeks six and seven. Currently, Bona is 8-4 in A-10 play and 18-6 overall. The Bonnies host Rhode Island Friday night on ESPN2 as part of the A-10 ESPN Friday Night Showcase.

Rhode Island was one of this week's biggest movers in the USA Today poll, rising five spots from last week. Only No. 9 Ohio State (seven spots) and No. 16 North Carolina (six spots) had bigger jumps this week. The Rams received 342 points in the USA Today poll, one more than No. 15 Saint Mary's.

In the Associated Press poll, Rhode Island appeared on all 65 ballots for the first time. The Rams received 666 points overall. That was an increase from 486 points in last week's poll. The Rams were one spot behind Saint Mary's (683) and one spot ahead of Arizona (594). Of the 65 voters, 39 had Rhode Island at No. 16 or better, with three voters putting the Rams in the top 10. Rhody received one vote each at No. 8, No. 9 and No. 10.
