Carbone hit .462 in four contests with three multi-hit games. The junior from Hudson, N.H., hit a grand slam to tie the game against Notre Dame before homering again in the game on her way to finishing 2-of-3 at the plate with seven RBI with two runs scored. In the win over Delaware, she drove in a run on 2-of-4 at the plate and went 2-of-3 at the plate against FIU. Over the weekend, Carbone slugged 1.000 with a .533 on-base percentage.
Cash, a senior from Columbus, Ohio, posted a 0.00 ERA over 16.1 innings pitched in four appearances. She tailed seven strikeouts to one walk in a complete game against Evansville on Friday. Cash put in a combined 3.0 innings of relief on Saturday, allowing only two hits. In Sunday’s WKU Hilltopper Spring Fling finale, Cash worked another complete game, recording nine strikeouts. For the week, she had a total of 18 strikeouts.
Rauch made three starts and one relief appearance over the weekend and walked away with a 3-1 record. Against Ball State, The freshman from Windsor, N.Y., blasted a pair of solo home runs to help her cause in the circle, finishing the day 2-of-4 also with a walk and three runs scored. For the weekend, Rauch slashed .357/.500/1.000 at the plate with a double, triple, and two home runs, five RBIs and five runs scored. In the circle, she allowed just six runs, five earned, on 13 hits and 10 walks over 21.2 innings (1.62 ERA) while striking out 14.
