La Salle's Grace Mancini Qualifies for NCAA Cross Country Championship

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Junior Grace Mancini of the La Salle University women's cross country team placed second at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country National Championship.

Mancini ran the 6K course at Penn State University's Blue and White Courses in 21:09, with a 5:40 pace, to claim a runner-up finish out of 205 runners. She becomes the first La Salle woman to advance to Nationals since Morgan Szekely did so in 2015.

As a team, the Explorers finished 11th among 30 squads in the region.
