VCU Advances to the A-10 Championship Final Following a 3-0 Win Over Saint Louis

RICHMOND, Va. —Top-seeded VCU defeated fifth-seeded Saint Louis in three sets (25-22, 25-15, 26-24) in the Atlantic 10 Volleyball Semifinals Saturday afternoon at Stuart C. Siegel Center. 

 

The Rams (19-8) advance to Sunday’s championship final to play for the A-10 automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. VCU, looking for its second consecutive A-10 title, will face the winner of Saturday’s second semifinal Sunday at 12:00 pm ET. The A-10 championship game will air live on ESPN+.  

 

As a team, VCU recorded 16 blocks and had three players (Tori Baldwin, Gina Tuzzolo and Jasmin Sneed) record five or more blocks in the win. Vicky Giommarini led the way with 12 kills and hit .333. 

 

Saint Louis’ Maya Taylor had 15 kills to lead the Billikens. With the loss, SLU concludes its season with a record of 8-20.
