NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Saint Joseph’s senior Ross Pilliod was named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week, while VCU freshman Ian Peng was selected as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Friday for tournaments played April 11-17.

With stronger winds gusts in the second round, Pilliod, a Reading, Pa., product, proved to be the most consistent performer on the course as he mirrored his first round with another round of 68 (-2) for a score of 136 (-4) to earn medalist honors by five strokes over the next closest player.
