Mancini named #A10XC Women's Performer of the Week, Hall and Clikeman awarded Men's Co-Performer
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – La Salle senior Grace Mancini was named Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Week, while Fordham sophomore Brandon Hall and Richmond senior Miles Clikeman were announced as Men’s Co-Performers of the Week. Additionally, Richmond freshman Kate Dickow earned Women’s Rookie of the Week and Fordham freshman Colin Flood was awarded Men’s Rookie of the Week the league announced Wednesday.
Mancini, a native of Media, Pennsylvania, kicked off her senior year with a bang, cruising to victory at the Lehigh Invitational on Friday. She sped through the 6K course in 21:21.71, finishing more than 35 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Hall, from Hopedale Massachusettes, was Fordham’s top performer at the Stony Brook Season Opener, as he helped the team to a second-place finish, behind only host Stony Brook. He finished third overall in the 6K with a time of 18:24.08.
Clikeman, hailing from North Chesterfield, Virginia, ran a career-best in the 5K with a time of 15:15:20 at the Spider Alumni Open. With this new time, Clikeman improves his best time by 14 seconds.
In her first collegiate race, Dickow, from Lititz, Pennsylvania, took first place in the two-mile with a time of 11:09:02 at the Spider Alumni Open.
Flood, a Manasquan, New Jersey native, had a top-ten finish in his collegiate debut at the Stony Brook Season Opener, helping the Rams take second in the team standings. He finished eighth overall in 6K at 18:54.74
