A-10 Schools Earn All-Academic Track & Field Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference was once again amongst intercollegiate leaders as the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2014 Division I All-Academic Track & Field teams on Tuesday.

Six Atlantic 10 Schools (Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason, La Salle, Saint Joseph’s and Saint Louis) were among the 114 schools nationally to have both their men’s and women’s teams honored. Also recognized as a women’s All-Academic team were Dayton, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Richmond.

A total of 324 men’s and women’s teams nationally earned the distinction as a result of registering a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher.

New Atlantic 10 member, Davidson, had both its men’s and women’s teams named All-Academic to bring the A-10 total to 18 teams represented, 11 teams on the women’s side and seven on the men’s side.
