NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Ten Atlantic 10 schools will be represented at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Preliminary Championships the NCAA announced on Thursday. The Preliminary championships will be held May 29-31. The East region will be held on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. and the West region at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.

George Mason led the way with 11 athletes selected, with seven women and four men collecting berths. Duquesne has six selections while La Salle, Rhode Island and Saint Louis each have five. VCU will be represented by four athletes while Dayton will have three competing.

Fordham, Massachusetts and Saint Joseph’s will each have one representative.

The qualifiers out of these regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.
