DAYTON, Ohio – Top seeded Saint Louis got a goal and an assist from David Graydon as SLU knocked off fourth-seeded La Salle, 2-1, in the semifinals of the 2013 Atlantic 10 Men’s Soccer Championship

With the win, Saint Louis improves to 14-4-2 on the season and advances to Sunday’s finals against second-seeded George Mason who knocked off third seeded VCU 3-2 in overtime on Friday.  La Salle finishes its season 8-8-4.

Saint Louis got on the board first when Graydon collected a rebound of a Robert Kristo shot and was able to beat the La Salle keeper in the 18th minute.

The Billikens held the one goal advantage through halftime and doubled its advantage in the 53rd minute when Graydon fed Kingsley Bryce a through ball and Bryce was able to find the back of the net to make it 2-0.

La Salle responded just a 1:43 later when Jason Plumhoff placed a crossing passing into the box off a set piece which Pat Sullivan put home to cut the SLU lead in half.

Saint Louis out shot La Salle 16-7 and held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
