DAYTON, Ohio – After 110 minutes of scoreless play, reigning Rookie of the Year Steffen Kraus made a pair of stops in penalty kicks to vault second-seeded  George Mason past seventh seed Saint Joseph’s in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Soccer Championship.

Mason (10-2-5) advances to the semifinals where it will take on the winner of No. 3 VCU and sixth-seeded Duquesne.  Saint Joseph’s ends its season 5-8-6.

Late in the second overtime, George Mason was able to get a shot past D’Ottavi but Brendan Reilly was able to clear the shot off the goal line and keep the match going.

Each team connected on their first two penalty shots, before Krauss was able to break the stalemate and send Mason to the semifinals.
