CENTERVILLE, Mass.— La Salle's Courtney Niemiec and Saint Joseph's Mo Hawkins have been named Eastern College Athletic Conference Division 1 All-Stars, both earning second-team honors.

Niemiec earned Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year recognition in 2012 and remained one of La Salle's most consistent and stalwart defensive presence being named first team All Conference during the 2013 season.  Anchoring a defense that allowed only 18 goals all season, Niemiec pitched in as an offensive threat, netting a goal against George Mason on La Salle's senior day.

Niemiec was named to the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team for the second time in her career earlier this season and had been named ECAC Defender of the Year in 2012. This is the second consecutive ECAC All-Star recognition for Niemiec.

Hawkins finished her senior season with a team-high eight goals and 17 points, earning Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team honors for the third consecutive season. Additionally, Hawkins started all 18 games this season for SJU and led the team in game-winning goals (four, ranked second in shots (51), and tied for third in assists (one).

The only SJU player to earn A-10 All-Conference honors all four seasons, Hawkins is also one of just two players in A-10 history be named Midfielder of the Year twice (2011, 2012). She appeared in 74 career games with 69 starts and finished tied for first all-time in goals (33), second in points (78) and shots (216) and third in assists (12).
