Youtz and Urey Earn Weekly Field Hockey Accolades

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Temple’s Amber Youtz was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week, and Lock Haven’s Molly Urey earned Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the league office, Monday for games played Sept. 17-23.
Youtz, a sophomore forward, earned Player of the Week honors after posting a total of 13 points this past week, leading her teammates to two wins against Colgate, 7-3, and Bucknell, 5-4. The Dauphin, Pa., native scored the first goal of the game against Colgate, and later scored the final two goals to secure the win. Youtz then scored the first goal of the game against Bucknell, and tallied an additional two goals and one assist, bringing Temple’s overall record to 5-5.
Urey, a freshman forward, earned Rookie of the Week accolades after recording five points against NEC opponent Rider. The Dillsburg, Pa., native scored all five points in the second half of the match, leading the Lady Eagles to a 5-2 victory over Rider.
