NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Massachusetts' Michael Glenn was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week, while Fordham's Brienne Ryan was selected as the league's Women's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week. The Ram's Steve Sholdra and the Minutewomen's Jocelyn Yuen received Men's and Women's Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the A-10 office for meets competed Oct. 29 - Nov. 4.

Glenn, a sophomore, earned Men's Performer of the Week honors after competing this past weekend against Binghamton University. The Overland Park, Kan., native took home three first place finishes in the 100-yd breast stroke (58.05), 200 breaststroke (2:06.20) and 400 individual medley (4:12.21). The Minutemen defeated Binghamton, 191-126.

Ryan, a senior, was named Women's Performer of the Week for the third time this season. The New Windsor, N.Y., native competed against Boston University, taking first place in the 100 backstroke (55.04) and 200 backstroke (2:02.00), while also helping her teammates to a pair of first place finishes in the 200 medley relay (26.12 split) and 400 freestyle relay (52.77 split). Ryan remains undefeated in each of her individual races for the 2012 season.

Sholdra garnered Men's Rookie of the Week accolades after winning three individual races this past weekend against Boston University. The Renton, Wash., native swam in the 1,000 freestyle (9:26.69) and 500 freestyle (4:38.91), while also posting the top conference time in the 200 butterfly (1:52.94).

Yuen was named Women's Rookie of the Week after her performance against Binghamton. The Princeton, N.J., native took first place in the 100 butterfly (59.01), 200 butterfly (2:09.27) and 200 individual medley (2:09.98), while also helping the Minutewomen to a first place victory in the 200 free relay.
