NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The 2013 Atlantic 10 Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships will be held Feb. 20-23 at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. This will be the first year the conference will host the Swimming and Diving Championships at the Spire Institute aquatic center, which opened in October 2011.

The Massachusetts men will look to capture their seventh consecutive Swimming and Diving Championship title this week. Leading the Minutemen are junior Chris Ingils, who is currently first in conference standings in the 200 freestyle, along with freshman Josh Koppel, who currently leads in A-10 standings in the one and three-meter dives.

Along with Massachusetts, 2012 runner up St. Bonaventure, Saint Louis, Xavier, La Salle, George Washington, and Fordham look to capture the 2013 A-10 title.

On the women’s side, Richmond will look to defend their conference title for the third straight year. The Spiders are led by 2012 Most Outstanding Performer Mali Kobelja, who currently leads the conference in the 200 individual medley. Also leading the Spiders are junior Jessie Krebs, who is currently first in the 1,000 freestyle, senior Lauren Hines, who leads in the 200 backstroke, and freshman Kelly Yang, the leader in the 100 butterfly.

Richmond, 2012 runner up Fordham, Massachusetts, La Salle, Duquesne, St. Bonaventure, George Washington, Rhode Island, Xavier, Saint Louis, and Butler are all in contention for the 2013 Conference title.

The 2013 Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships begin Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 pm with the women’s one-meter dive. For live results and free web streaming of the championships, visit www.atlantic10.com
