Newport News, Va. – Dayton’s Robby Sunderman has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Player of the Week.  VCU's Heath Dwyer was named Co-Pitcher of the Week with George Washington's Bobby LeWarne, while GW's Bobby Campbell was named Rookie of the Week.

Sunderman led the team with a .706 average, 12 hits, five runs scored, three doubles, and five RBI last week in Dayton's four contests. The senior third-baseman totaled 17 bases in 17 at-bats, and posted a 1.000 slugging percentage and .722 on-base percentage. In one of the best weeks of his career, Sunderman had not one, but two games in which he went 4-for-5.

Against Cincinnati on Tuesday, he went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. On Friday at Miami, Sunderman had four hits, an RBI, a double, and a run scored. Saturday saw another four-hit game with four RBI, a double, a triple, and two runs scored. Sunderman single handedly led Dayton to its first win in 10 games. He finished off the week with a 2-for-3 game with a run scored to cap off the week.

LeWarne was stellar for the Colonials in Sunday's 1-0 series-clinching win over Monmouth. The Des Moines, Iowa, native earned the victory by pitching a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and zero walks. He carried a perfect game into the sixth inning before allowing his only base runner of the day.

Dwyer went the distance in a 1-0 two-hitter win over Buffalo on Saturday. Buffalo's two hits amounted to a .074 batting average for the Bulls. Dwyer's day was highlighted by his 15 strikeouts, setting a new high for the Chandler, Ariz. native. The final two strikeouts of the pitchers night came in the ninth inning to preserve the Rams' 1-0 win and conclude his fifth career complete game.

Campbell led the Colonials' offense to a 3-1 week, batting .462 (6-for-13) over four games with two runs scored and four RBIs. He was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and one run scored in GW's 11-4 win over Saint Peter's on Tuesday and drove in the game- and series-winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning in GW's 1-0 win over Monmouth on Sunday.
