Saint Louis, which has won a record 17 straight, moved up to No. 10 in both the AP and USA Today Coaches’ polls this week. VCU is receiving votes in both polls also.

In the latest Bracketologies, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has five A-10 teams in the Big Dance (UMass, Saint Louis, VCU, George Washington, Saint Joseph’s and Richmond).Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com has the same five A-10 teams in his bracket. Both of them  list Richmond and Dayton among those just outside the field.

The Atlantic 10 is the only confernece with six teams at 18 or more wins and its one of only four conferences with four teams that have 20 or more wins (The American, the ACC, and Conference USA are the other three).

The A-10 has nine of its 13 teams in the top 100 of the RPI ratings, six teams in the RPI top 50 and seven teams in the top 68 (NCAA Tournament field size). The league also ranks sixth among all conferences in the RPI and has eight teams in the top 100 of both the Pomeroy Ratings and Sagarin Ratings.
