NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – VCU’s Robyn Parks has been named the Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while her teammate Keira Robinson has been named the A-10 Rookie of the Week for games played Nov. 18 – Nov. 24.

The pair helped the Rams to two victories on a Texas road trip over the weekend.   

Parks averaged a double-double with 17.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 assists.  The Waldorf, Md., native had 16 points and 15 rebounds at Texas-Pan American before adding 19 points and 14 boards at UT Arlington. Parks has posted three straight double-doubles and has scored in double figures in 33 straight games.

Robinson, a native of Columbia, S.C., posted back-to-back career-high scoring performances in the Rams’ two wins. Robinson averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 assists, 3.5 steals, 2.5 rebounds and hit 9-of-11 (.818) from the free throw line. Robinson scored a career-high 11 points to go along with six assists, a career-high five steals and two rebounds at Texas-Pan American. She then followed that up with a new career-high of 17 points with five assists and two steals in an overtime victory at UT Arlington.

A-10 Honor Roll
Duquesne’s Raegan Moore scored game highs of 25 and 21 in the Dukes’ two wins this week and shot an impressive 63% for the week. Moore hit 60% of her 3-point attempts (9-of-15)  and had seven assists to just one turnover Erin Rooney continued her stellar season in Fordham’s win over Yale on Friday, notching her third double-double of the year in the victory.  The Christchurch, New Zealand, native led all scorers with a career-high 23 points on 8-15 shooting from the field, including a 2-4 effort from downtown, and grabbed 11 rebounds. Rooney’s teammate Hannah Missry put up the best game of her young career, scoring 18 points on 5-7 shooting from the field … Janaa Pickard led George Mason to a 2-1 week with two straight double-doubles against St. Francis and UMES. The fifth year senior also contributed a team-high five blocks in the overtime loss to the Hawks … Alicia Cropper scored team-high 17 points and added five rebounds and six assists to lift La Salle to its first win of the season, a 72-62 at Manhattan on Sunday. Micahya Owens scored eight of her 12 points in the final decisive 11-2 run late in the second half. … Kim Pierre-Louis averaged 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds as Massachusetts won close battles against Rutgers, 64-63 and Hartford, 63-59 for the squad’s first wins of the season.  Kymber Hill recorded 10 points over 30 minutes as the starting center as the Minutewomen defeated Rutgers …  St. Bonaventure’s Hannah Little recorded a then career-high 11 rebounds, also a game-high, to go along with her seven points, one assists, and one steal in 22 minutes played coming off the bench as the Bonnies picked up the six-point victory over Monmouth. In Saturday’s matchup against Boston University, Little recorded her first career double-double … Leading the Hawks to a 2-0 mark on the week, sophomore forward Sarah Fairbanks averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for Saint Joseph’s. Versus Drexel, the starting post player tallied a career-high 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting and 3-of-3 from the foul line. Fairbanks followed with a team-best 20 points on Saturday … Saint Louis freshman Sadie Stipanovich led the team in rebounding at Winthrop and at Murray State. Her 10 total rebounds and seven offensive boards at Murray State were game and career highs.  She also scored a career-high 13 points at Winthrop.
