DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's basketball team (10-4, 3-0 A-10) has won 21 consecutive Atlantic 10 games with its 90-69 victory over George Washington (12-5, 3-1 A-10) Thursday night at UD Arena.
The Flyers have also won 20 consecutive home games; their streak is the fourth-longest in the nation.UD made a season-high 13 three-point field goals and shot 48.1 percent from three-point range. Junior Andrea Hoover and sophomore Amber Deane each scored 23 points to pace UD. Deane also had eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Hoover added six assists. Senior Cassie Sant had 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Sophomore Kelley Austria had 12 points for UD. Celeste Edwards had a career-high seven assists and career-high seven rebounds.
Jonquel Jones led GW with 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Hannah Schaible added 11 points and six rebounds. George Washington shot 40% from the field, converting 28-of-70 shots on the evening.
