NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Joseph’s Kevin McDonnell will represent the Atlantic 10 Conference at the 2011 NCAA Cross Country Championships, hosted by Indiana State University, Nov. 21 at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind.

McDonnell, a senior from Moorestown, N.J., qualified for his second consecutive NCAA appearance after recording a fourth-place overall finish in the Mid-Atlantic Regional this past weekend. At the 2010 NCAA Cross Country Championships, McDonnell recorded a time of 31:53.3 in the 10K on way to a 173rd place finish.

In addition to earning a spot in the 2011 NCAA Cross Country Championships, McDonnell has also twice been named Atlantic 10 Men’s Performer of the Week and earned a second-place overall finish at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships with a time of 24:23.6.

The men’s race will begin at approximately 12:08 p.m. ET, followed by the women’s race at approximately 12:58 p.m. A live webcast of the championships will be broadcast from noon to 1:30 p.m. ET, Monday, Nov. 21, on NCAA.com.
