Eight A-10 Student-Athletes Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Eight student-athletes representing the Atlantic 10 Conference were named to the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Capital One and CoSIDA recognize the nation's top student-athletes annually for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

First Team Academic All-District honorees will advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected in June.

To be eligible for this award, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a scale of 4.00. He/she must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his/her institution and be nominated their sports information director. CoSIDA has been selecting Academic All-America teams since 1952.
