NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Xavier’s Jimmy Roebker and Casey Robinson of Saint Joseph’s were named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s and Women’s Tennis Performers of the Week, respectively, as announced by the league office on Monday. George Washington’s Francisco Dias and Rhode Island’s Nithila Asokaraj were also honored as the Conference’s Men’s and Women’s Tennis Rookie Performers of the Week, respectively. The four student-athletes were recognized for matches played during the week of March 26-April 1.

MEN’S TENNIS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Jimmy Roebker, Xavier
Sophomore | Ft. Mitchell, KY
Roebker went 3-0 in singles play last week to lead Xavier to three straight wins, including a pair of victories over Atlantic 10 foes St. Bonaventure and Duquesne. The Ft. Mitchell, Ky., native has won six straight singles matches and 11 of his last 14 singles contests.

WOMEN’S TENNIS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Casey Robinson, Saint Joseph’s
Junior | Radnor, PA
Setting the SJU single-season record for singles wins on the week, Robinson went 3-0 at No.1 singles and 2-1 at the top doubles flight. Robinson breezed to a win against La Salle’s Kiara Smith on Wednesday (6-2, 6-0) and followed with a victory over A-10 competitor Pam Emery of Rhode Island on Saturday. Posting a 6-1, 6-1 triumph, she became the SJU single-season leader for wins at Rhode Island, and followed with a strong performance against Fairfield, coming back from an opening-set loss to post a 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 victory. On the doubles side, Robinson and sophomore Devi Jadeja teamed for a win at No. 1 flight against La Salle, while Robinson and freshman Aurora Davis went 1-1 on the weekend at No. 1 doubles.

MEN’S TENNIS ROOKIE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

Dias went undefeated in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in three matches in two days this past weekend, and is currently riding a six-match winning streak. He opened the week with a convincing straight-set win over Richmond’s Ethan Dunbar (6-3, 6-4), before posting back-to-back wins over Jack Williams of Charlotte (6-3, 6-4) and Kuba Kowalski of Fordham (6-3, 6-1). In doubles, Dias teamed with Ugur Atalay to defeat Richmond, 8-3, on Friday, before downing Charlotte, 9-7, and Fordham, 8-5, both on Saturday. The doubles pair is on a five-match winning streak.

WOMEN’S TENNIS ROOKIE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Nithila Asokaraj, Rhode Island
Freshman | Marlborough, MA
Asokaraj helped lead Rhode Island to back-to-back wins over Atlantic 10 rivals Saint Joseph’s and La Salle last week. With Saturday’s match at Saint Joseph’s tied at 3-3, she posted a three-set win at No. 5 to clinch the win for the Rams. She also won her singles match against La Salle on Sunday, handily defeating Pearl Wilkins, 6-0, 6-0. Additionally, Asokaraj teamed with Kathleen Uy for a pair of wins at second doubles. The Marlborough, Mass., native currently leads the team with 15 singles wins.
