MATCH #11 - RESULTS
#1 MASSACHUSETTS 4, #4 TEMPLE 3
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Top-seeded Massachusetts hangs on for a win against fourth-seeded Temple, 4-3, to advance to the Finals of the 2012 Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Championship, Saturday morning at the Boar’s Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va.  The Minutewomen will face the winner of the second semifinal match between second-seeded Charlotte and third-seeded Richmond.

After Massachusetts secured the doubles point, the two squads traded singles points, leaving the number six singles as the deciding match.  Chanel Glasper of the Minutewomen surrendered the first set to Temple’s Ama Osei, 2-6, and managed to battle her way back to win the second, 7-6, and the third 6-2, to earn the UMass victory.

#3 RICHMOND 4, #2 CHARLOTTE 1
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Third-seeded Richmond advances to the Finals of the 2012 Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Championships after upsetting second-seeded Charlotte, 4-1, Saturday evening at the Boar’s Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va.

Although the 49ers captured the doubles point after securing the number one and two positions, the Spiders rallied back and, although Charlotte did not concede defeat easily, captured four straight single’s points in the number three, two, four and one positions, respectively.

Richmond will now face top-seeded Massachusetts in the Finals and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
