PITTSBURGH - Charlie Hauser has been named head coach of Duquesne's recently-reinstated women's diving program.
A 2011 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and former diving coach at Chatham University, Hauser brings six years of collegiate coaching experience to the Bluff.
"We are excited to welcome Charlie to the Duquesne swimming and diving family," said Duquesne swimming and diving head coach Dave Sheets. "His addition is another piece that will continue to propel us forward in the Atlantic 10 Championship."
While at Chatham, Hauser was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Coach of the Year twice (2015-16, 2016-17). Under his leadership, four Chatham divers were named PAC champions and the team had a total of nine NCAA Division III Regional qualifiers.
In addition to serving as diving coach at Chatham, Hauser has been an assistant coach for the Pitt Aquatic Club since 2007.
"I am excited to join the Duquesne University swimming team as it expands to include diving for the 2017-18 season," said Hauser. "I am honored to become a part of the program and looking forward to having the opportunity to contribute to an already successful team in the A-10."
As a Panther, Hauser was a four-time Big East Championship qualifier as well as a 2009 Big East Championship finalist. Hauser graduated from Pitt with a degree in environmental studies and currently serves as a Product Administration Specialist with UPMC.
