NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - George Mason's Chachi Kelehan was named Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, while Sarah Crowley of UMass earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. UMass teammate Lauren Hiller was named Rookie of the Week. All awards are for games played Mar. 6-12.

Kelehan went on a scoring tear last week with nine goals, on just 10 shots, and 11 points in a pair of games last week. She was also 5-for-5 on free position attempts. The sophomore attacker scored her first four goals of the season in an 11-10 overtime loss to No. 20 Virginia Tech. She took just four shots and also added an assist for a five-point day. Three days later, she tied a career-high with five goals on six shots and added an assist in an 16-10 victory over Liberty. The Ellicot City, Md., native now leads the team with nine goals and 12 points and is tied for the team high with three assists.

Crowley led the UMass defense in a 13-4 win at New Hampshire on Friday, the only game of the week for the Minutewomen. The senior from Greenlawn, N.Y., posted three caused turnovers and two groundballs as UMass allowed a season-low four goals. After allowing the fourth UNH goal three minutes into the second half, Crowley and the defense held the Wildcats scoreless for the rest of the game.

Hiller picked up her third win of the season as UMass defeated New Hampshire 13-4. The freshman from North Andover, Mass., made 11 saves while allowing just four goals. The outing marked her fourth game of the season to make double-digit saves. Seven of her 11 saves came in the second half where she helped the Minutewomen hold UNH scoreless for the final 27:30 of play.
