NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Take a tour of the best places to eat around the Atlantic 10 in our summer series, #A10Eats. Hear from A-10 coaches and staff, along with fans, on their favorite watering holes and meals.

Today we feature George Washington University and the nation's capital. DC is also the home of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship at the Verizon Center. Let us know your favorite places to eat around Washington, D.C. by using the hashtag #A10Eats.

"My favorite place to eat by far is Founding Farmers. It was the first place I ate when I came to campus for the first time. I had the stuffed french toast and coffee. I was blown away with the quality of the food, taste and open-concept atmosphere they have created. It's still one of my favorite dishes. Nowadays it's always the first place I choose when I host recruits, have family in town or going to grab a bite with friends."

For lunch, Jetties is a great little sandwich spot with outdoor seating near the softball stadium on Foxhall Road. I go with the Nobadeer -- turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. It’s like Thanksgiving in a Sandwich.
